Travel RN Job Details – Madison, WI Healthcare Opportunity

• Location: Madison, WI 53792 (Wisconsin nursing jobs)
• Facility: University Hospital – GI/Bronchoscopy Procedures Clinic
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (8/25/2025 – 11/24/2025)
• Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts (Monday–Friday, rotating start times between 6:30am and 7:30am)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2170–$2230
• Call: Minimal weekday call; no weekends or holidays required
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Unit Census: 20–25 patients daily, 4 procedure rooms
• Parking: Permit required; alternative transportation options available

Endoscopy RN Qualifications & Requirements

• Active Wisconsin or compact Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be in hand at submission)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only)
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care RN experience in endoscopy or GI procedures within the last 3 years
• Experience in an Academic Level 1 Trauma Center or similar large hospital setting
• Prior travel RN experience required
• Basic arrhythmia and telemetry competency (must pass telemetry exam prior to start)
• Epic EMR charting experience required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (local candidates not accepted)
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)

Travel Endoscopy RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care for patients undergoing GI and bronchoscopy procedures, including moderate sedation administration and monitoring
• Perform pre- and post-procedure care, including PACU/Phase I and II recovery for endoscopy and pulmonary procedures (ERCP, EUS, EGD, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy)
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; respond to arrhythmias as needed
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure patient safety and optimal clinical outcomes
• Float to other nursing units as needed based on staffing requirements
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic EMR
• Participate in orientation and ongoing competency assessments
