Eye Physicians Medical/Surgical Center is a well-established and well-respected physician owned ophthalmology practice that serves patients in the South Bay area of beautiful San Diego for the past 69 years. Our region continues to grow with the highest rate of growth in the San Diego area. We are actively seeking a fellowship trained Cornea/External Disease specialist to join our private practice as our senior Cornea specialist is retiring. It is expected that the applicant will perform corneal procedures and traditional phacoemulsification cataract surgery with standard and premium lenses as well as other anterior segment surgeries. We have a single location with a large multispecialty practice covering full-time Cornea and Glaucoma, part-time Medical and Surgical Retina and Oculoplastics. We also have full-time Medical and Refractive Optometrists. We are seeking an individual with strong surgical and people skills who wants to practice in a relaxed and peaceful environment that regularly achieves the highest of patient satisfaction recognition with a team approach to patient-centered care.

Our full-service ophthalmology practice hours are Monday-Friday 8 am to 5 pm. The on-call schedule is minimal with one week per month and only for our practice-specific patients which does not include trauma call for our local emergency room. We have a strong and dedicated technician and scribe group and a top-notch group of front office staff. Our highly talented and experienced practice administrator has been with the office for over 45 years, allowing our doctors to focus on patient care.

Our spacious 8000 sq. ft. practice has state of the art equipment including Haag Streit slit lamps, Lenstar optical biometry, autorefractors, Zeiss OCT, topographers, Humphrey visual field, fundus cameras (non-mydriatic and IV fluorescein angiography), Argon, Yag and SLT lasers, etc. We also have an optical department with full-time opticians to service our patients. We use EyeMD as our EMR.
