About the Role
As a Software Engineer inside the Community Health org, you'll work as part of a team to build systems that Twitch uses to keep our creators and viewers safe on the platform. We're looking for interest in software development and a strong growth mindset, and in particular engineers excited about the prospect of innovative software development to respond to the challenges associated with the ever-evolving landscape of internet safety.
You Will:
- Design, deliver, and improve performance, reliable, and high-performance systems
- Embrace and champion engineering best practices within your group and Twitch
- Produce clean, high-quality code, tests, and documentation
- Actively participate in code and design reviews with peers and partners
- Contribute engineering input and feedback into product planning processes
- Partner with fellow engineering teams to accomplish complex projects together
You Have:
- 1+ years of experience working as a software development engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent industry experience as a Software Engineer
- A foundation in data structures and algorithms. Familiarity with scalability, concurrency, API design, data modeling, and distributed systems fundamentals
- Willingness to try new things and work with a diverse group of people
Bonus Points
- Familiarity with AWS infrastructure
- Experience writing Go in production systems
- Experience writing React in production systems
- Experience with email / notifications technologies

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
