Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA)

Desire Home Care, Inc. is seeking a certified and compassionate Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to join our team. The individual in this position will provide quality in-home care to our clients in Riverside. As a CHHA at Desire Home Care, Inc., you will be responsible for providing personal care, assistance with daily activities, and emotional support to our clients. You will play a crucial role in helping our clients maintain their independence and improve their overall quality of life.

Compensation: $25-$30 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Help with daily activities such as meal preparation, medication reminders, and light housekeeping
• Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
• Report any changes in clients' health or behavior to the supervisor
• Follow the care plan outlined by the client's healthcare team
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of services provided
• Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and the healthcare team
• Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols
• Attend training and education programs to maintain and enhance CHHA certification

Requirements:

• Must be a certified CHHA in the state of California
• Prior experience in home health care or a similar setting preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision
• Compassionate, patient, and understanding nature
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Must have current BLS certificate
• Physical and TB clearance valid within the year
• Ability to complete documentation via agency EMR system

Shifts: No more than 8 hours, no holiday shifts
