Chef de Partie - Events
Chef de Partie
Event Production & Culinary Execution
Camber is building a culinary team that brings restaurant-level execution to luxury events throughout California Wine Country.
We are seeking a dedicated Chef de Partie to join our growing production kitchen in Cotati. This role combines two essential aspects of our business: preparing exceptional food in our commissary kitchen and executing events alongside our culinary team at private estates, wineries, weddings, and corporate gatherings throughout Sonoma and Napa Counties.
This is an ideal opportunity for a cook who wants to continue developing their craft, work alongside chefs with Michelin-starred backgrounds, and be part of a company that is redefining what catering can be.
WHY EVENTS?Many talented hospitality professionals spend years pursuing the highest levels of restaurant service, often overlooking events as a place to build a meaningful career. We see it differently.
No two events are ever the same. One week you may be executing an intimate tasting menu inside a private wine cave; the next, serving a wedding for 200 guests or creating a one-of-a-kind experience at a celebrated winery. Every event presents a new setting, a new challenge, and a new opportunity to refine your craft.
For those who thrive on variety, creativity, and continuous learning, event hospitality offers a career that is dynamic, demanding, and deeply rewarding.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Has experience in fine dining, Michelin-starred, Michelin-recognized, or similarly respected culinary programs.
- Produces clean, consistent, detail-oriented work with pride and professionalism.
- Is equally comfortable preparing refined tasting menus and elevated casual cuisine. Our team operates across both our luxury catering division and our casual catering brand, and versatility is essential.
- Thrives in both a production kitchen and the fast-paced environment of live events.
- Is dependable, organized, and committed to continuous improvement.
- Works well as part of a collaborative team and welcomes feedback.
- Is capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Has reliable transportation and is able to travel to event locations throughout Sonoma and Napa Counties.
- Is legally authorized to work in the United States.
Applicants with Michelin-starred or equivalent experience are strongly preferred. Candidates without this background are encouraged to apply but should expect additional training before working independently on our event team.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Prepare food for private events, weddings, winery dinners, and corporate experiences.
- Execute events under the direction of our Executive Chef and Sous Chefs.
- Maintain exceptional standards of organization, cleanliness, and food quality.
- Assist with production, packing, loading, event setup, execution, and breakdown.
- Contribute ideas and continuously refine techniques, systems, and recipes as our company grows.
- Competitive hourly compensation based on experience.
- Gratuities on qualifying events.
- A diverse culinary environment spanning luxury private dining, large-scale events, and elevated casual catering.
- Mentorship from chefs with Michelin-starred backgrounds.
- Ongoing opportunities for professional development and advancement.
- A company culture built around craftsmanship, accountability, and genuine hospitality.
We're not looking for someone who simply wants another cooking job. We're looking for someone who wants to become part of a team that's raising the standard for hospitality in Wine Country.
If you're passionate about great food, enjoy the energy of events, and want to grow alongside an ambitious company, we'd love to hear from you.
