About the Role

Infuse Hospitality is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dishwasher / Steward & Receiving team member to support our culinary operations. This role ensures all kitchenware, equipment, and food products are clean, organized, and compliant with San Francisco health standards . The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, works efficiently, and is a strong team player.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operate commercial dishwashers; wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, and kitchen tools
2. Maintain clean and organized dish pit, storage areas, and walk-ins
3. Receive and inspect deliveries; label products with received and use-by dates
4. Rotate inventory using FIFO principles; maintain storage rooms, walk-ins, and freezers
5. Support chefs and line cooks with timely turnover of tools and equipment
6. Ensure all areas meet local health and safety standards, including San Francisco health code
7. Assist with trash, recycling, and basic prep tasks as needed

Core Responsibilities

Sanitation & Cleanliness

1. Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently
2. Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
3. Maintain clean and organized dish pit, prep areas, and storage spaces
4. Support deep cleaning initiatives and scheduled maintenance
5. Ensure compliance with all local health and safety standards

Kitchen Support

1. Assist chefs and line cooks with timely turnover of tools and equipment
2. Remove trash and recycling according to Infuse sustainability practices
3. Provide basic prep support as needed (non-cooking tasks)
4. Maintain floors free of debris, water, and hazards

Receiving, Storage & Inventory

1. Receive deliveries, verify invoices, and inspect product quality and temperature
2. Label all products with date received and use-by date
3. Rotate inventory using FIFO (First In, First Out) principles
4. Organize storage rooms, walk-ins, freezers, and dry storage areas
5. Monitor and log temperatures and ensure storage areas meet San Francisco health code standards
6. Communicate discrepancies or quality concerns to management promptly

Qualifications

1. Prior dishwashing, kitchen, or receiving experience preferred
2. Must speak English or be bilingual (English + another language)
3. Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and stand for extended periods
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
5. Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and events
6. Food Handler's Card
