Podiatrist
Location: Oakland, CA
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $175,000 – $200,000 per year
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Role Overview
This role focuses on diagnosing and treating foot, ankle, and lower-extremity conditions for patients who rely on accessible, community-based healthcare. You’ll work closely with primary care providers and care teams to manage chronic conditions, prevent complications, and improve mobility for patients who may face barriers to specialty care. Your day-to-day work directly supports long-term health outcomes in an underserved population.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat foot and ankle disorders, injuries, and infections
- Provide routine and advanced podiatric care, including wound care and diabetic foot management
- Perform in-office procedures within scope of practice
- Develop treatment plans tailored to each patient’s medical and social context
- Collaborate with primary care, nursing, and specialty providers
- Maintain timely, accurate medical documentation in the EHR
- Educate patients on foot health, prevention, and self-care strategies
Requirements
- Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from an accredited program
- Active California podiatry license or eligibility for licensure
- Completion of an approved podiatric residency
- Experience working in community health, outpatient clinics, or diverse patient populations preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and clear communication skills
