As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be a vital part of our team, ensuring that our complex machinery and equipment are in optimal working condition. You will be the go-to professional for all maintenance-related tasks, providing your expertise to improve operational efficiency and reduce downtime. This role demands a high level of technical skill, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems. Responsibilities:

• Regularly inspect machinery and equipment to identify any defects or potential issues that may impact operational efficiency.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting parts.
• Repair or replace defective machinery parts, using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
• Analyze and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, identifying faults and implementing corrective actions.
• Provide consultation and advice to the management team on machinery upgrades, purchases, and installations to improve operational efficiency.
• Develop and implement maintenance procedures and schedules, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Train and guide junior mechanics and other staff on machinery operation and basic maintenance tasks.
• Comply with all safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a maintenance mechanic role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Proven experience in preventive maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair faults.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a strong ability to think analytically.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
• Good physical condition and endurance, with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in varying conditions.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex mechanical concepts in simple terms.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong collaboration skills.
• A commitment to safety, with knowledge of relevant safety regulations and procedures.
• Relevant certification or diploma in mechanical or related field is preferred.
