Litigation Assistant & Secretary Roles | State/Federal Filing

Adams & Martin Group is partnering with several highly regarded law firms throughout San Diego County that are actively seeking experienced Litigation Legal Assistants, Legal Secretaries, Practice Specialists, and Attorney Practice Assistants with strong state and federal court filing experience.

Our clients include boutique, regional, and nationally recognized law firms across Labor & Employment, Business Litigation, Insurance Defense, Intellectual Property, Family Law, and General Civil Litigation practices. Opportunities are available with firms offering competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and onsite or hybrid work arrangements.

Compensation: Approximately $73,000-$115,000+ annually, plus bonus and benefits

Location: San Diego County

What You'll Do

• Prepare, format, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents.
• Manage state and federal court filings, including electronic filing and compliance with court rules and procedures.
• Maintain attorney calendars, litigation deadlines, hearings, depositions, mediations, and other case-related events.
• Coordinate and communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, experts, and vendors.
• Support attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, from case inception through resolution.
• Assist with document management, case organization, trial preparation, and administrative support as needed.

What You'll Need

• 3+ years of experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, Practice Specialist, Attorney Practice Assistant, or similar litigation support professional.
• Strong experience with state and federal court filing procedures, including federal CM/ECF e-filing.
• Knowledge of court rules, calendaring requirements, and litigation processes.
• Experience supporting attorneys in active litigation practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems.
• Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
