The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. Position Summary
The Housekeeping Associate is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of guest rooms, public areas, and laundry operations. This role supports the daily operational needs of the hotel and may include room attendant duties, public area cleaning, laundry operations, and runner responsibilities as assigned.
The ideal candidate demonstrates attention to detail, efficiency, and a strong commitment to delivering an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and service guest rooms including bed making, dusting, vacuuming, bathroom sanitation, trash removal, and replenishing amenities.
- Clean kitchenettes, refrigerators, coffee makers, glassware, and utensils as applicable.
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas including hallways, restrooms, fixtures, storage areas, and other assigned spaces.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and deliver requested items in a professional and courteous manner.
- Collect, sort, and transport soiled linens; distribute clean linens to assigned areas.
- Operate laundry equipment (washers, dryers, folders, ironers) in accordance with safety and operational guidelines.
- Inspect linens for stains or damage and report discrepancies.
- Maintain organization of housekeeping closets, carts, and supply rooms.
- Replenish inventory and supplies as needed.
- Assist with deep cleaning projects and special assignments.
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and out-of-order conditions to management.
- Follow all brand standards, safety protocols, and sanitation procedures.
- Promote teamwork and effective communication across departments including Front Desk, Maintenance, and Food & Beverage.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills required.
- Previous housekeeping or laundry experience preferred.
- Basic English communication skills preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs and push/pull up to 400 lbs depending on assignment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop for extended periods.
- Ability to work in warm environments when performing laundry duties.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and tools safely throughout shift.

Hourly Rate: $12.00 per hour Employment Type: Permanent position with a 9-month probationary period Vacation Leave: Accrues at 1.25 days per month (15 days per year) for employees working at least 130 hours per month. Accrual becomes available after completing 6 months of employment and is retroactive to the hire date. Vacation may be carried over for up to 2 years, in accordance with company policy. Sick Leave: Accrues at 1 day per month (12 days per year) for employees working at least 130 hours per month. Maximum accumulation of 27 days (216 hours). Up to 15 days (120 hours) may be carried over per calendar year, in accordance with company policy. Health Insurance: 100% employer-paid coverage for the employee (minimum 130 hours per month), effective after 3 months of employment. Parking Incentive: $5.00 USD for each day effectively worked. Holiday Pay: Paid holidays effective after 3 months of employment.
