Cook

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Cook to join our behavioral health team. The Cook is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, well-balanced meals that support the health and well-being of clients in a residential or program-based setting. This role ensures compliance with approved menus, dietary needs, and all food safety and sanitation standards.

Location: Rimrock Arizona

Schedule: Saturday and Sunday 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare, cook, and serve meals and snacks according to approved menus and schedules
2. Ensure meals meet nutritional guidelines and accommodate special diets, allergies, and cultural or medical needs
3. Maintain proper food storage, labeling, temperature control, and rotation
4. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards
5. Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, food prep areas, and dining spaces
6. Monitor and document food temperatures and required logs
7. Assist with inventory, ordering, and stocking of food and supplies
8. Communicate professionally with program staff and supervisors
9. Maintain confidentiality and follow all program policies

Qualifications

Required:

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Food handler certification (or ability to obtain within required timeframe)
3. Ability to follow recipes, menus, and dietary instructions accurately
4. Reliable attendance and ability to work assigned shifts

Preferred:

1. Previous cooking or food service experience, preferably in healthcare, residential, or behavioral health settings
2. Experience with special diets and food allergies

Cognitive & Physical Requirements

1. Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
2. Strong attention to detail and time management skills
3. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Compliance Requirements

1. Must pass required background checks, fingerprint clearance, and drug screening per state regulations
2. Must complete all required onboarding and training
