Description of the role

You'll architect and build our AI-native Accounting system — the financial brain for autonomous systems. We are not building another finance tool. We are building the intelligence layer that enables natural language finance—where executives can ask 'What did our almond processing cost last quarter?' and field workers can say 'Log this expense for the north field harvest.'

You'll create a system where autonomous agents handle bookkeeping, payments, and forecasting, replacing traditional forms and manual processes entirely. By reimagining accounting as autonomous intelligence, you'll help build a system that lets autonomous systems scale across agriculture, healthcare, construction, and beyond. You'll work directly with the founders, own technical decisions, and lay the foundation for a potentially massive and fast growing SaaS company.

Responsibilities and potential impact

• Design and implement RAG systems that understand financial documents and agricultural workflows

• Create AI agents that process invoices, reconcile bank statements, and generate compliance reports

• Develop real-time analytics dashboards showing product-level profitability and seasonal cost trends

• Establish the technical architecture and shape our engineering culture that will serve hundreds of enterprises and process millions in transactions

• Propose and engage in independent cutting edge AI research related to our mission

Must haves

• 1+ years of experience working on technical projects with hands-on LLM integration, RAG systems, or AI application development

• Up to 4 years of professional experience or equivalent project-based experience

• Demonstrated knowledge of RAG systems, vector databases, and semantic search

• Proficiency in Python or JavaScript with full-stack development capabilities

• Experience with document processing, OCR, and structured data extraction

Nice to haves

• Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar AI orchestration tools

• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial workflows

• Familiarity with banking APIs and payment processing systems

• Background in agricultural, or compliance-heavy industries

• Cloud deployment experience and DevOps knowledge

• Strong product intuition and user experience focus
