Technology Project Manager Location Chino, CA : JOB SUMMARY: Manages all aspects and phases of physical security system solution services in assigned territory. Serves as a subject matter expert regarding video surveillance, physical access control, intrusion detection systems, and other physical security technology applications. Promotes, creates awareness of, and provides training to security management and sales staff regarding security systems solution services. Consults on security system design issues with clients, vendors, and colleagues. Ensures strong customer service by managing expectations, executing on commitments, and providing support throughout the client relationship cycle. Attains key performance metrics including profit & loss objectives for Technology Unit in assigned territory. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. Promotes the use of security systems technology applications as a service solution that adds value for clients and drives profitability for the Company. 2. Ensures the delivery of high-quality customer service through regular contact with Area Vice Presidents, Branch Managers, Business Development Managers, Clients, Vendors, and Partners; evaluates service quality and initiates corrective action as necessary. 3. Identifies and manages relationships with subcontract suppliers within assigned territory to prepare and successfully deliver solutions. Analyzes operational and financial indicators to continuously improve performance; ensures profitable operations with full profit and loss accountability for assigned Technical Solutions Unit territory. 4. Maintains a positive, professional environment in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures; acts to ensure that staff members understand and comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. 5. Participates as a team member in the Business Unit and Northeast Region's strategic planning and provides leadership in business development. 6. Obtains necessary industry technical certifications. Performs additional functions, duties and specific tasks of a similar nature and scope as necessary in order to achieve assigned business objectives. Sales Interface with clients, AVPs, DMs, BDMs serving as the technical expert for security systems Coordinate with field managers as needed to provide technology solutions (and information about such) to their clients and prospects Attend client/prospect meetings to qualify, provide technology advice and information, present technology ideas, design and develop technology (service and equipment) solutions Respond to bids and RFPs Generate leads from existing clients and from new prospects Manage leads and provide regular accounting of sales / prospect activity Manage and report on sales and forecasting activity Field calls from DMs, BDMs, AVPs and prospects regarding technology and systems Create and present Integrated Guarding sales proposals (in conjunction with IGSC) Use Google maps and Visio to create designs for the sales process Technical Design and architect Security Systems Provide scope of work and design documents Use Google maps and Visio to create designs which are ready to handoff to engineers Coordinate with Technology Project Ensure smooth hand-off for implementation Work with Prospects and Technology Project Manager (as needed) to refine and define project scope prior to contract finalization Competencies (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing): Sales Experience with creating and presenting proposals Strong oral, written, and presentation skills are mandatory Ability to forecast sales and provide accurate reporting regarding sales/prospecting activity Ability to manage and generate leads Ability to close contracts. Technical Use of Visio and Google Maps for project design Project Management skills Ability to pursue and achieve professional certifications (varies according to state but examples include - alarm installer, alarm systems company, security alarm dealer) General Ability to manage time and multiple tasks without supervision Interpersonal skills and professionalism are critical Good troubleshooting techniques Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in a business-related field and 6 years of successful and progressively responsible physical security systems experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company. Preferred qualifications are PSP certification; experience/certification with AMAG, CCURE, Avigilon, Axis and/or Milestone; experience with video analytics; and, experience with remote video monitoring solutions.
