About the Role:

Seeking a hands-on, client-facing Data Engineer to design scalable data solutions and lead data engineering initiatives from discovery through delivery. Ideal candidates will be fluent in AWS serverless architecture, capable of building robust data pipelines, real-time processing systems, and analytics platforms using modern technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Discovery & Strategy

• Translate business needs into data architecture roadmaps
• Create cost-optimization and ROI models
• Design data governance frameworks

Data Pipeline Architecture

• Build serverless pipelines with AWS Glue, Lambda, Redshift Serverless, S3, DynamoDB
• Develop both batch and streaming solutions
• Optimize ingestion, transformation, and storage layers

Development & Implementation

• Build data applications using PySpark and Go Lang
• Automate infrastructure with Pulumi (Go-based IaC)
• Implement automated testing and monitoring for data reliability

Documentation & Knowledge Transfer

• Produce technical documentation , including:
  • Data lineage diagrams
  • Pipeline architecture
  • API specs
  • Operational runbooks
• Set standards for documentation and knowledge sharing

Technical Leadership & Consulting

• Mentor teams on best practices
• Perform code reviews and architecture assessments
• Advise clients on data modernization strategies

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of enterprise data solution design
• 3+ years as a dedicated Data Engineer
• Deep AWS Serverless experience: Glue, Lambda, Redshift Serverless, S3, DynamoDB
• Strong PySpark and Go Lang programming
• Demonstrated ability to:
  • Consult with clients
  • Design cost-effective, scalable data systems
  • Create clear and usable documentation
