Legal Secretary – Workers’ Compensation
A busy and dynamic law firm specializing in workers’ compensation is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to support our high-volume practice. We’re looking for a detail-oriented, organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional client service.
Key Qualifications
Proficiency with dictation tools, legal terminology, court forms, and procedures.
Ability to interpret and work with medical terminology and related timelines.
Strong typing skills (60+ wpm with accuracy).
Experience managing heavy workloads and multiple competing deadlines.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and track numerous tasks efficiently.
Familiarity with legal filings, service, and calendaring procedures.
Strong client service skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
Experience preparing and filing Petitions, Liens, DORs, and drafting Objections.
Knowledge of AME/PQME processes and reviewing medical reports.
Experience with EAMS/WCAB procedures.
Responsibilities
Prepare case files for depositions, MSCs, PC hearings, and trials.
Assist with Med-Legal processes and ensure all documentation is properly organized and filed.
Maintain accurate calendars, deadlines, and case-related workflows.
Provide general litigation support within the workers’ compensation framework.
Position Details
Job Type: Temporary to Possible Perm
Compensation: $25 – $30 per hour

Location: In-person (Temecula, CA)
Preferred Experience: At least 1 year in workers’ compensation law
Working Conditions:
- May on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels, such as from office equipment.
- The ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Use of computers and technology.
