Position: Audio Visual (AV) Programmer
Location: Cerritos, CA
Audio Visual (AV) Programmer Position Summary
As GST's AV Control System Programmer, you will be responsible for planning, developing, testing and implementing control system code, audio files, and other equipment-related configurations. This individual would also perform in-house testing and on-site commissioning at client locations. The Control System Programmer will be able to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects, think independently and effectively interact with employees and client.
Job Requirements
- Read and interpret AV systems drawings
- Gather programming requirements
- Provide control system design and review audio visual design
- Produce new modules and interfaces
- Create technical standards, processes and procedures
- Provide programming and technical direction to project team when needed
- Control System programming design to meet requirements and system capabilities
- User Interface programming to meet requirements and system capabilities
- Install control programs and touch panel design onsite, offsite, and remotely in physical systems
- Perform commissioning and acceptance testing of code
- Test integrated systems and perform troubleshooting as needed
- Assist manufactures and customers with problem resolution as needed
- Travel to various job sites, as required
- Proficient with test and calibration equipment
- Proficient in programming languages
- Proficient in uploading and downloading software in embedded systems
- Proficient in control system design (Crestron/AMX/Extron)
- Understanding of DSP programming
- Effective communication and interaction with employees, clients and colleagues
Qualifications
- Previous experience with control systems, video-conferencing, switching hardware, audio DSP setup and calibration
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming or equivalent experience
- Minimum of three years of Crestron or AMX control system programming experience
- Harman Certified Control Professional (C-P) required
- Extron GC-Pro Certified required
- Crestron and AMX certifications required
- CTS or CTS-D certification is preferred
