Job Title: Assembly Technician Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Assembly Technician to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling components and ensuring the quality of our products by adhering to precise specifications and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering necessary parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Position parts and subassemblies using templates or reading measurements.
  • Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit and fastening parts and subassemblies.
  • Verify specifications by measuring completed components.
  • Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications and notifying the supervisor to obtain additional resources.
  • Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory levels, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, and verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Document actions by completing production and quality forms and logging labor hours.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in reading and using a measuring tape.
  • Efficiency with hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to work full-time and overtime.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in construction and manufacturing environments is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with labor and assembly processes.
  • Willingness to work in a hot and humid environment, exposed to fiberglass and foam.

Work Environment

The work environment is a manufacturing setting that can be hot and humid, with exposure to fiberglass and foam. The role involves working in a lamination building that assembles side walls, ceilings, and floors for campers and trailers. Shifts can start between 5 am and 6 am, ending between 1:30 pm and 2:30 pm. The facility is a 141,000 square foot, 22-acre campus located in California.

This is a Contract position based out of Lancaster, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.90 - $17.00/hr.
