BEHAVIORAL HEALTH RECEPTIONIST JOB SUMMARY
The Administrative Clerk performs a variety of administrative, clerical, recordkeeping, and customer service tasks to assist with the smooth operation of the Behavioral Health Department. Greets, directs, and schedules patients. Provides support for Behavioral Health Clinic Manager and Director of Behavioral Health and Social Services
BEHAVIORAL HEALTH RECEPTIONIST ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greets and directs patients and visitors.
- Schedules appointments
- Checks patient eligibility for Mental Health Services
- Answers phone calls and emails.
- Schedules Department meetings
- Checks in patients, verifying and updating necessary information in the medical record
- Receives, records, and distributes packages and mail.
- Copies, collates, and otherwise prepares reports for mailings, meetings, and other correspondence.
- Attend meetings, as required
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Respects the confidentiality of the health records of patients and adheres to HIPAA regulations
BEHAVIORAL HEALTH RECEPTIONIST EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- High school graduate.
- 1 year of office experience; experience in health care setting preferred, but not required
- Experience and knowledge of online systems
- Bilingual in Armenian required.
BEHAVIORAL HEALTH RECEPTIONIST PAY RATE: $21/hr
