Director of Operations
EXO Talent Partners is conducting a confidential search for a Director of Operations on behalf of a well-established precision aerospace manufacturer in Orange County, CA.
This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives in a turnaround environment and wants to make a real mark on a site with strong growth potential.
The Role
You'll have full operational accountability for the site — safety, quality, delivery, and cost reporting directly to the General Manager. This is not a role for someone who manages by feel. The right person lives in their KPIs, builds credible recovery plans, and can articulate exactly how they identified a problem and what they did to fix it.
The right person will come in with a clear mandate to stabilize operations, build a high-performing team, and implement lean manufacturing principles for long-term results.
What We're Looking For
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision making — you diagnose problems with numbers, not gut feel
- 7+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership in aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing
- Proven turnaround experience with measurable results
- CNC machining environment experience required
- Full P&L accountability experience required
- AS9100 quality system familiarity
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or business required; MBA a plus
Compensation
Base salary up to $200K + 30% executive bonus (historically paid out strong) + full benefits. Relocation authorized.
