The Role
In order to set you up for success as an Senior Software Engineer in the Gemini App team, we look for the following skills and experience:
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand the critical user journeys of our target user segments (such as small business owners) and improve their user experience
- Lead the full-stack implementation, from front-end, back-end, to the model, to deliver high quality products
- Collaborate with researchers to understand cutting-edge innovation and improvement in generative AI, and apply it to the app
- Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify headroom for the user journeys, and develop a strategy to design and implement solutions to improve the quality
- Work together with the teams responsible for model development to enhance and refine model performance
About You
In order to set you up for success as a Senior Software Engineer at Google DeepMind, we look for the following skills and experience:
- BS, MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience
- Experience working on software engineering projects from prototype to production
- Strong communication skills and a reliable team player
- Proven knowledge and experience of programing in Java, C++, or Python in production environments
- Individuals who thrive in ambiguity and have a shipping mindset
- Willing to do whatever moves the projects forward
In addition, the following would be an advantage:
- Strong data analysis skills
- Experience with ML, especially LLMs
- Ability to thrive and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders
The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $166,000 - $244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
