Medical & Front Desk Assistant
Role Overview:
We are seeking a confident, dependable, and people-oriented Medical Assistant who can deliver outstanding patient care while maintaining a professional and welcoming front-office presence . The ideal candidate is customer-facing, personable, and capable of building strong patient relationships while balancing clinical precision with administrative excellence. Fluency or proficiency in Spanish is a strong plus, as it enhances our ability to serve a diverse patient population. The role involves clinical duties and front desk, and administrative responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Front Desk & Administrative Responsibilities
Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing an excellent first impression of the clinic.
Schedule and confirm appointments, verify insurance, and manage patient intake efficiently.
Handle phone calls and patient inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
Collect co-pays, assist with billing documentation, and support daily operational flow.
Coordinate seamlessly between clinical and administrative teams to ensure patient satisfaction and smooth clinic operations.
Clinical Responsibilities
Assist the Nurse Practitioner and clinical team during patient assessments, examinations, and procedures.
Perform and document patient vital signs, EKGs, vaccinations, and venipuncture (blood draws).
Prepare and maintain examination rooms and clinical equipment to ensure cleanliness and readiness.
Manage, label, and process laboratory specimens accurately.
Support patient education and ensure understanding of treatment plans and follow-up steps.
Maintain accurate and timely entries in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
Ensure compliance with clinic protocols, infection control, and HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent required; Phlebotomy certification preferred.
Experience: 3–6 years in a clinical or outpatient setting.
Technical Skills: Proficient in EMR systems, Microsoft Office, and digital communication tools.
Language: Spanish-speaking skills strongly preferred.
