Job Description and Duties

This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento.

Under the direction of the Information Technology (IT) Manager I, the IT Specialist II will perform duties related to Software Engineering, System Engineering, and Information Security Engineering, including but not limited to: Software Architecture, Software Development, Software Integration, Data Administration, Enterprise Architecture, Identity Management, System Administration, System Integration, Security Compliance and Security Operations . The Lead Systems Software Solutions Specialist performs a variety of tasks requiring innovative problem-solving within a wide range of technologies in support of the Department's critical 24x7 infrastructure

Working Conditions

This position may be required to work on weekends and off shift hours. Telework available but may change due to the governor's directive. Telework requires California residency.

This position may be required to occasionally report to the designated office location in DMV headquarters at 2415 First Avenue, Sacramento, California, 95818. Travel expenses related to reporting to the designated office is the employee's own responsibility and is not eligible for reimbursement.

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or closely related field.
• Knowledge of and experience in Assembler, DB2, Endeavor, and CICS.
• Knowledge of IBM Mainframe Systems.
• Knowledge of and experience in COBOL is a plus.
