Sign Fabrication and Technical Production Designer

Cal-Sign Wholesale Inc., a division of Ultimate Image Printing, is a fast-paced, rapidly growing company specializing in digital, offset, and large-format printing. We're passionate about quality and innovation, and we are looking for a dependable, skilled, and detail-oriented Technical Sign Designer and Production Layout Artist to join our team to help create layout proofs, determine the best fabrication methods, and create production-ready files. This is a technical position, requiring creative fabrication and production drawings.

Job Summary:

A Sign Fabrication and Technical Production Designer will take direction from sales/customer service representatives and create drawings for signage according to specifics while determining the best production methods for fabrication. They are friendly, observant, and able to represent our company in the best light possible. They can communicate with other team members and offer opinions to add value to our company.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in signage/drawing creation.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in fabrication techniques for signage.
• Proficiency and knowledge in CorelDRAW and Adobe Illustrator.
• Proficiency in LED layouts using LEDWizard or other such layout software.
• Ability to conceptualize a sign build-out using traditional and modern sign fabrication techniques.

Job Responsibilities:

• Take client-supplied artwork and instructions to create proof drawings utilizing our templates and extrusions.
• Create clean, professional, and detailed proofs.
• Work with customer service to answer/fill in missing details.
• Once approved, create production files that fit our specific production methods, equipment and needs.
