Donor Relations Manager
Hospitality House is an emergency shelter and housing provider, serving low-income and homeless residents in Nevada County. Hospitality House provides pathways to housing by bringing homeless residents into a compassionate circle of community care that offers shelter, housing resources, sustenance, opportunity, dignity, and hope as they transition from homelessness to housing.

The Donor Relations Manager plays a critical role at the frontlines of addressing homelessness in our county through donor development, fundraising, and event planning. Hospitality House is looking for a seasoned donor relations manager who has a track record of leading successful fundraising initiatives, managing teams, and implementing strategy across a lean development department. The ideal candidate is a skilled manager, communicator, and leader who is passionate about serving the community and representing the agency to internal and external stakeholders with professionalism and integrity. This person must also be able to collaborate equally well with our executives, board directors, and support staff.
Donor Relations Manager Pay Range
$65,000 - $70,000 annually.

OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE
- Promote awareness of HH?s mission
- Expand existing donor base
- Coordinate and execute fundraising campaigns to meet the organization?s targets
- Maintain existing relationships with individual and corporate donors, including acknowledgment and recognition
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research potential donors, foundations, and other development opportunities
- Represent the organization?s mission to donors, potential donors, and other external stakeholders
- Oversee a small team and be able to effectively collaborate with other departments within the agency
- Approve all written fundraising and outreach materials
- Supervise fundraising event coordination
- Maintain database of donors, track gifts, and fulfill reporting requirements to all stakeholders
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- MUST HAVE at least three or more years of experience in nonprofit fundraising.
- Experience in managing databases and using fundraising software required.
- Proven track record of planning and initiating successful nonprofit fundraising strategies required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Outstanding attention to detail.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor?s degree (or equivalent) in relevant field.
- Experience in managing multiple development projects for concurrent campaigns.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages one direct report and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the development team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Hospitality House's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of: Fundraising database Software Programs (preferred Bloomerang) and must have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suit (Word, Excel, and Office 365). Effectively utilizes computer programs to access, input, and retrieve work-related information.
