Application Services Manager
: Reporting to the Director of Information Systems, this position leads and manages the team responsible for implementation, maintenance and support of enterprise software applications. Updating of existing software is a key area of responsibility which includes production software change management, release management and quality assurance. This position also develops and enforces related technical standards and methodologies, and is also responsible for I.T. project management. Must be able to work independently and possess outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. Must be well organized and able to work in a fast paced environment while keeping track of multiple tasks and projects. In addition., is generally able to report on-site to RCH within 45 minutes where the employee is subject to being called in for urgent issues. Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare, or related field * 5-7 years of acute care application support experience - Electronic Health Record, clinical, and/or financial systems * 5-7 years of line management experience Preferred Qualifications * Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare, or related field * ANCC Informatics Nursing certification * PMI certification * Meditech Magic experience preferred * Successful track record in line management and staff development; Project Management, PMI certification beneficial; Acute care clinical experience beneficial. Skill Requirements * Ability to prioritize multiple, competing requests, manage expectations, and provide effective service. * Strong line management and staff development abilities * Administrative and organizational skills, including but not limited to: * Use of Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook * Coordination of activity for multiple projects to ensure completion in a timely manner. * Maintenance of detailed and organized records regarding project status, change control, incident reports, and project plans. * Human Resources management * Vendor management * Strong troubleshooting skills.Use of systematic logic and integration of disparate information to identify patterns and solutions * Political savvy, positive public relations, and strong working relationships
