Repair Machinist
We are seeking an experienced Manual Machinist to produce and repair precision bakery equipment parts using manual lathes and milling machines. This role requires strong attention to detail, solid machining fundamentals, and the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, machine maintenance, and producing high-quality work.
What You’ll Be Doing
Produce and repair bakery equipment parts using manual lathes and milling machines
Set up, adjust, and operate machine tools for production and repair work
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and hand sketches
Measure parts accurately and make adjustments as needed to meet specifications
Maintain detailed records of measurements, adjustments, and completed work
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and work areas
Follow shop safety procedures and machining best practices
What We’re Looking For
Proficiency operating manual lathes, milling machines, and other machining equipment
Strong understanding of machining principles, techniques, and shop tools
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Knowledge of bearing tolerances and proper bearing fit
High level of precision, attention to detail, and quality focus
Manual dexterity with strong hand-eye coordination
Reliable, self-directed, and able to work independently
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs
Comfortable working in a machine shop environment
You should be proficient in:
