Comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) safety regulations and standards

Secure cargo properly for safe transport
Requirements
Valid driver's license (depending on vehicle type)
Own vehicle: Sprinter van, cargo van, or box truck (preferably 15 to 20 feet)
Commercial liability insurance
Clean driving record
Previous delivery or freight hauling experience preferred, but not required
Strong time management and organizational skills
