Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Precision Welding: Execute TIG welding in horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.

• Blueprint Literacy: Read and interpret Work Instructions (WIs) and blueprints to ensure exact specifications.

• Assembly & Fabrication: Position and clamp parts into fixtures/jigs; create assembly and fabrication fixtures as needed.

• Quality Control: Perform leak testing on finished products and maintain accurate piece counts to ensure quality.

• Equipment Operation: Safely operate welding equipment, hoists, and power lift stands according to manuals.

• Shop Maintenance: Maintain 5S standards, upkeep machine shop equipment, and monitor consumable inventories (gasses, oils, tooling).

• Continuous Improvement: Recommend improved methods for hardware assembly and fabrication.
