Accounts Payable/ Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job purpose

Under the guidance of the Controller, the Accounts Payable/ Accounts Receivable Specialist will support the accounting team with entering and maintaining all things accounts payable. Will also provide support to Accounting Specialist with customer receivables, as necessary.

Duties and responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Reconcile PO and receivers to vendor invoices.

· Ensure pricing and quantities are correct based on PO and receivers.

· Obtain approvals on invoices received that are not matched to PO.

· Enter AP invoices in accounting software daily.

· Manage AP email box for new vendor invoices received and save to network.

· Process weekly payables run by printing checks and entering bank transactions (EFT, ACH, Wires)

· Reconciling vendor statements to open balances in accounting system.

· Maintain state compliance in 15 states.

· Performs other duties as assigned or required.

· Typing – 40 wpm and strong 10-key skills

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and handle competing priorities

· Highly detail-oriented with the ability to complete assignments both accurately and efficiently

· Ability to take the initiative, work with minimal supervision, is flexible and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as presentation skills

· Demonstrated ability to build rapport and good working relationships with customers, vendors and staff

· Well organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities

· Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite

Education and/or Experience

• Minimum 1-2 years direct experience with AP and AR

Salary Description

$25.00-$30.00 Per Hour
