Position Overview:

Blackstone Global is seeking experienced construction consultants and expert witnesses with deep technical expertise in building systems, construction defects, and forensic analysis. Our work focuses on complex construction litigation, building envelope failures, and large-scale repair projects across California.

This role is ideal for professionals with strong field experience who can translate technical construction issues into clear, defensible expert opinions for attorneys, developers, HOAs, and insurers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform forensic inspections of buildings and construction assemblies.
• Investigate construction defects and building envelope failures.
• Analyze roofing, waterproofing, façade, and structural systems.
• Develop repair scopes and remediation recommendations.
• Prepare expert reports and technical opinions.
• Support litigation teams through deposition and trial testimony when required.
• Collaborate with cost estimators and reconstruction teams.

Areas of Expertise We Are Seeking:

• Building Envelope / Façade Systems.
• Roofing Systems (low-slope, single-ply, metal, tile).
• Waterproofing and Below-Grade Systems.
• Window and Curtain Wall Systems.
• Construction Management and Sequencing.
• Construction Cost Estimating and Repair Scope Development.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of construction, engineering, or building envelope experience.
• Strong knowledge of building assemblies and moisture intrusion issues.
• Prior forensic consulting or expert witness experience preferred.
• Ability to produce clear technical reports.
• Professional licenses (PE, Architect, or related credentials) are a plus.
