Manager, AI Commerce Partnerships
The Manager of AI Commerce Partnerships will support the development and execution of strategic partnerships and commercialization for Visa's AI commerce initiatives. This role is central to shaping Visa's presence in emerging AI ecosystems, where intelligent agents transact, negotiate, and orchestrate commerce on behalf of users and businesses.
You will work across the ecosystem of companies building AI-powered platforms, AI agents, and the enabling infrastructure for secure, programmable payments. The team operates at the frontier of payments and AI — running a developer lab, prototyping agent payment flows, and building partnerships with the companies shaping the future of autonomous commerce.
The focus will be on developing new AI commerce business lines, product integrations, and partnerships across priority AI-native segments, while helping translate early-stage concepts into scalable commercial outcomes. The ideal candidate brings experience in partnerships, business development, or product commercialization within technology ecosystems, combined with a genuine interest in AI-driven platforms and the emerging agent economy. Key Responsibilities **Business Development:**- Structure and execute commercial agreements with digital platforms, AI companies, fintechs, and key technology partners across Visa's ecosystem
- Develop and deepen vertical expertise across priority growth areas including generative AI, payments, data, and embedded financial services
- Build partner-facing collateral — pitch decks, solution briefs, and go-to-market toolkits — that clearly articulate Visa's value proposition in AI commerce
- Support the design and execution of go-to-market strategies for AI-native platforms in close collaboration with sales, product, and regional teams
- Support Visa's engagement with AI marketplaces and platforms with a focus on monetization models, trust frameworks, and agent identity **Product Partnerships & Solutioning:**
- Identify and champion opportunities to embed Visa capabilities into AI-driven workflows, working closely with product and technology leaders to structure business cases and integration approaches
- Lead solutioning efforts with partners building AI interfaces and execution layers, ensuring Visa products are natively integrated into agent decision-making and transaction flows
- Help translate complex technical concepts into clear narratives for internal and external audiences, supporting bespoke and non-standard partnership models **Thought Leadership:**
- Provide market, partner, and client feedback to Visa product teams to inform roadmap development and commercialization strategies
- Contribute to Visa's AI commerce narrative and leadership position across AI-driven ecosystems
- Support exploration and evaluation of strategic partnerships and investments in AI startups and foundational technologies This is a hybrid position from our San Fran office. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
- 6 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 4 or more years with an Advanced Degree
- Experience across partnerships, strategy, or business development within technology, payments, financial services, or adjacent ecosystems
- A self-starter with a strong bias toward action and the ability to connect the dots across complex ecosystems, products, and partner landscapes
- Demonstrated ownership mindset and a track record of delivering high-impact work in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
- A strong interest in AI-driven platforms, agentic systems, and emerging digital business models; direct exposure to AI-enabled products strongly preferred
- Experience supporting or leading complex commercial discussions, from strategy through execution
- Strong storytelling and strategic framing skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to executive and external audiences
- Comfort navigating ambiguity, influencing cross-functional teams, and working across global organizations

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is 146,200.00 to 233,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
