Au Pair

We are a growing family looking for a wonderful addition to help us with our 4 year old daughter Sophia and our newborn daughter who is due to arrive in June. Sophia goes to a Spanish speaking Montessori during the week, Monday-Friday from 8:30am-4pm. We will need assistance with getting up and helping our daughter get dressed, eat breakfast, pack lunches, and driving her to/from her school every morning and every afternoon. In addition to playing with and helping Sophia get ready in the mornings and off to school, Mom is looking for a mother's helper to help with cooking, light cleaning, and laundry, while also giving some breaks so she can nap after being up witg on how long the quarantine lasts, we may need to have our au pair occupy Sophia at home during the day, doing stimulating activities with her like puzzles, drawing, dancing, singing, walking, riding her bike, etc. (no TV!). We also have 2 big dogs and a cat, so we need someone who loves animals, as they are a big part of our lives. Our requirements include being infant qualified, being a strong driver who is comfortable driving on the freeway and busy streets on a daily basis, and being an animal lover. Our daughter likes to get up anywhere from 6-6:30am, so someone who likes mornings is preferable. We live in Orange County, located in beautiful Southern California, 20 minutes away from the beaches, and 1 hour away from Los Angeles and 1 hour from San Diego. There are a ton of activities to do and places to go just within Orange County itself. We allow access to one of our cars for our au pair to use when not working and are flexible with scheduling hours. Right now, we anticipate the schedule to be similar to this: Monday - Friday: 6am - 11:30am, break until 3:30-6:30pm Saturday: 6am - 9am We are happy to work around classes or activities as long as they don't conflict with a critical time for help. We encourage our au pair to get out and explore during their time off! There are beautiful hiking trails right behind our house and quick access to shopping, malls, movies, schools, etc. We are an active family, and while we aren't sure what life will look like with baby #2, whenever we go out our au pair is welcome to come with us. Sophia considers our current au pair as part of our family, and we do too.
