Travel Registered Nurse First Assist Job
Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) for a travel assignment in Templeton, California. Start date: 07/20/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. - Travel assignment in a perioperative care environment Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care as RNFA in perioperative services, assisting the primary operating surgeon during surgical procedures and supporting perioperative care across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; coordinate, manage, provide, and delegate nursing activities in alignment with established Standards of Nursing Practice and facility policies.
- Act as a leader within the perioperative team, demonstrating professionalism, patient advocacy, and collaboration with the health care team; report to the Director of Perioperative Services.
- Maintain sterile technique and instrument handling, assist with positioning, suction, hemostasis, and instrumentation as directed; ensure accurate documentation and patient safety throughout the surgical experience.
- Uphold accountability as an expanded role of nursing practice, integrating the RNFA responsibilities with the perioperative workflow while adhering to applicable conduct standards. Requirements
- Active California RN license
- RNFA certification or eligibility; perioperative nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work dayshift with 10-hour shifts (40 hours per week) on a 13-week assignment
- Demonstrated ability to work in a perioperative setting and collaborate effectively with surgeons and staff
- Capacity to meet credentialing, orientation, and facility policy requirements Benefits and Support
