: Responsible for supervising the administrative services of a large academic department within a school OR college OR non-academic department (program). Typically reports to a manager. Administrative services. Reporting to the Director, Administration and Operations, this position will be responsible for supervising the day to day work duties of the IT Administration Team. IT Administration Services Supervisor will proactively work with business units to develop, implement, and monitor services, policies, and procedures, move planning, and coordinate procedures, policies, and communications related to infrastructure and safety. He or she will work with the Director on a variety of IT-related operational activities. The position supervises both internal direct reports and external vendor relationships. This position will have frequent interaction with internal and external customers and will collaborate with management on projects with high visibility and complex in nature that will continuously improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organizations mission and values. Include all or some of the following functions: IT, facilities, student services, contracts and grants, budgetary financial management and / or human resources. Supervises support and / or professional staff.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $84,400 - $157,400 (Annual Rate).

Department Description

The Information Technology Administrative Services department enables the mission and vision of UCSF by offering a mature set of critical, cross-functional management disciplines that assure the highest standards for IT delivery. UCSF IT Administrative service functions in a highly complex environment that interacts with C-Level staff, Management and many IT service providers within the UCSF community including Finance, Human Resources, Facilities, Environmental Services and various Campus and BCHO entities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
  • Minimum 7 Years or more in Information Technology environment
  • Solid knowledge of the organization's processes, protocols, and procedures with a focus on budget, account, and fund management and/or personnel management within labor contract(s) and personnel policy.
  • Solid knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs.
  • Solid interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication, active listening, critical thinking, persuasiveness, advising, and counseling to effectively motivate others.
  • Solid skills to quickly evaluate complex issues and identify resolutions.
  • Solid organizational and customer service skills to effectively manage multiple priorities.
  • Solid knowledge of financial analysis and reporting techniques; human resources and risk management planning; accounting and payroll.
  • Demonstrated skills in employee supervision and HR administration.
  • Advanced knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs.
  • Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Advanced skills in short- and long-term strategic planning, analysis, problem-solving and customer service.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial analysis and reporting techniques, and / or human resources policies and procedures for staff and academic employees.
  • Manage cross functional IT Governance support function ensuring committee chairs appropriate technical support to conduct meeting. Perform content management of UCSF IT Wiki Page, Box and ListServ sites. Manage committee membership and initiate webinars.
  • Manages client relations for Audit and Project Engagements used to verify financial results, identify risks and uncover opportunities to improve fiscal performance.
  • Assist in the management of the IT administrative functions, ensuring the following: 1) comply with UCSF/UCOP policies; 2) follow best business practices; and 3) recommend and help implement the most efficient and cost-effective solutions.
  • Manages New Employee onboarding / offboarding process
  • Oversee Hitachi monthly security audits and provide proximity access
