Licensing Program Manager I (LPM I)
Job Description and Duties
Under the supervision of a Licensing Program Manager II, the Licensing Program Manager I (LPM I) for the Child Care Centralized Application Bureau (CAB) will be based in the Fresno Regional Office. The LPM I is responsible for overseeing and managing a unit of Licensing Program Analysts across multiple regional offices within an assigned geographic territory, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations, monitoring workflow, and providing leadership and guidance to staff to support the effective processing of child care applications. The CAB LPM performs quality assurance reviews, plans and conducts individual and group training, reviews complaint investigations, provides technical and supervisory direction in the office and the field, and reviews monthly intake and production reports. The LPM I may act as the Division representative with other agencies, recruit and hire new staff, meet with facility representatives, and recommend administrative actions against noncompliance licensees. The LPM I supports the office in maintaining CCLD Policies and Procedures. Must be able to travel.

This is a 12-month limited term position and may be extended to a maximum of 24-months and/or may become permanent based on operational needs.

Working Conditions
Use of a computer for several hours a day which involves sitting most of the time but may include walking or standing for brief periods. Attend meetings, workshops and training associated with job duties. Work hours and schedules may vary.
The reporting location for this position is 1310 East Shaw Avenue, MS 29-01, Fresno, CA 93710.
This position may be eligible for Hybrid work. In-person attendance is required based on the operational needs of the position and in accordance with the Statewide Hybrid Telework Policy, Government Code section 14200, and any applicable department telework requirements. The successful candidate must reside in California at the time of appointment. Proof of California residency may be required .
Please note: Regular commute is not compensable.
