Under the supervision of the Associate Print Plant Superintendent, in a temporary position, the Seasonal Clerk in the Office of State Publishing, Digital Print & Mail Services performs simple repetitive clerical, production, and other related work. The duties will be accomplished by the guidelines of the Department of General Services (DGS), Office of State Publishing (OSP) operations manual, directives of the California Code of Regulations and the State Administrative Manual.

11.8 Night Shift Differential (Unit 4)
Employees shall qualify for the second night shift pay differential of .40 cents per hour, where four (4) or more hours of the regularly scheduled work shift fall between 6 p.m. and midnight
This non-tenured intermittent position will be limited to working up to 1,500 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship by the start date of employment. The Department of General Services does not participate in E-Verify for employment authorization purposes.

Special Requirements
- The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired.

- Employment History on the STD 678 (State Application) must be complete and include employment dates, accurate hours per week, total time worked, duties and responsibilities performed, and contact names and phone numbers of supervisors. License and Certification numbers included on the STD 678 must include issue date and expiration date. Failure to indicate issue and expiration dates will result in disqualification. Resumes or other documents cannot substitute the STD 678 (State Application). Applicants who fail to submit a completed STD 678 (State Application) may be disqualified. Only the most qualified candidates will be invited to an interview.
- Applicants who completed their education outside of the United States (with foreign degrees/transcripts) must obtain and submit verification of US course/degree equivalency. Foreign education credential evaluation services can be found at NACES | National Association of Credential Evaluation Services .
Requirements for CalWORKs Applicants:
• Priority is given to CalWORKs recipients. If you currently receive CalWORKs (state public assistance), your application will be reviewed before others.
• You must state your CalWORKs status on the application. In the comments section of the application, you need to indicate that you are a CalWORKs recipient.
• You must provide proof of eligibility. Acceptable verification includes:
o Your most recent Notice of Action showing TANF eligibility, or
o A copy of your most recent aid check stub.
• Your application will not be processed without verification. If you do not submit proof of CalWORKs eligibility along with your application, it will not move forward.
