Talent Engagement Specialist
The Talent Engagement Specialist, reporting to the Talent Engagement and Compliance Supervisor, is responsible for cultivating and maintaining a premier network of independent professional linguists by serving as their primary "Success Partner" and internal advocate. This role focuses on bridging the gap between internal operations and external talent through community building, strategic support, and the delivery of a seamless, professional partner experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Talent Advocacy and Community Building: Serve as the primary liaison between our independent linguists and internal departments. You will gather feedback to streamline processes and enhance the overall Talent experience. Design and execute engagement campaigns that highlight our value proposition. Answer the question "Why partner with us?" to attract and retain the best professionals in the industry. Plan and host in-person and virtual meetups, webinars, and community events that allow independent professionals to network, share best practices, and feel connected to a larger mission. Act as the "go-to" source for non-instructional support. You will build a supportive environment where partners can find answers to their business and administrative questions.
- Operational Success and Systems Support: Serve as the subject matter expert for our Talent scheduling and payment portal. You will manage profile requirements, ensure eligibility criteria are met, and troubleshoot access issues. Analyze engagement data to identify trends in availability and assignment completion. Create educational initiatives that help Talent understand how high reliability scores lead to more opportunities and revenue. Guide Talent on administrative best practices—such as timely invoice submission and portal usage—to ensure they get paid quickly and accurately.
- Professional Standards and Quality Assurance: Collaborate with our Quality teams to reinforce client expectations and industry-standard codes of ethics. You will help Talent understand how professional conduct and impartiality protect their own business reputations. Develop and deploy surveys to gather data on the partner experience. Analyze results to drive measurable improvements in our services. Create engaging newsletters and updates that keep our network informed about client requirements, company news, and industry trends.
Requirements
- Background in Public Relations, Marketing, Community Management, or HR. Experience working with a contingent or freelance workforce is a major plus.
- Empathetic communicator who can build trust with a diverse, remote network of professionals.
- Comfortable mastering new software platforms and explaining technical workflows to non-technical users.
- Analyze data (e.g., cancellation trends) and design positive, educational campaigns to improve outcomes without micromanaging.
- Understand the unique nature of the independent contractor relationship and how to support a workforce without crossing into employer-like control.
