Under the direction of the Supervisor II in the Office of Civil Rights and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Programs, the Analyst II will support the successful development and administration of a variety of Workplace Violence Prevention (WVP) and EEO programs and assist with day-to-day activities and responsibilities to ensure Cal OES is compliant with various laws, rules and policies in these domains. This position supports WVP Plan implementation by coordinating with WVP team members in the organization, creating and maintaining records, and conducting investigations. The incumbent’s secondary function is to analyze a nd consult on EEO subject matters and conduct investigations related to EEO protected categories.

The incumbent may be assigned duties related to Cal OES’s Upward Mobility Program, Limited Examination and Appointment Program (LEAP), language access services, employment demographics reporting and related projects, or organizational training. This position may also be assigned to tasks related to managing EEO compliance for Cal OES grantees. The incumbent will serve as a subject matter expert on topics related to federal and state civil rights and workplace violence prevention laws.

Working Conditions

Hybrid Telework: This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule. Additional in office days may be required based on the business need.

Conflict of Interest (COI): This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code and is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment. Failure to comply with the Conflict of Interest Code requirements may void the appointment.
