Veterinary Assistant (Sacramento)
In this role, you'll rotate between seeing technician appointments independently and working alongside our doctors during exams and procedures. You'll assist with exams and treatments, set up for procedures, and coordinate with your team to manage the veterinarian's orders. This position is ideal for someone with strong foundational nursing skills who excels in client engagement and collaborative care. Schedule:
This is a full-time position typically scheduled as five 8-hour shifts, Sunday through Thursday. A four-day workweek may be considered with Sunday availability required. Full-time benefits and compensation**:
- Compensation: $21-23 per hour, for each hour worked*
- Bonus package: $500 for those with 3+ years of consecutive, current VA experience

- 3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Collecting vital signs and keeping medical records
- Venipuncture and administering injections
- Radiography technique and positioning
- In house laboratory processing
- Familiarity with Cornerstone software and Fear Free Certification is a plus!
