Product Manager
OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY
Fox Corporation Under the FOX banner, we produce and distribute content through some of the world’s leading and most valued brands, including: FOX News Media, FOX Sports, FOX Entertainment, FOX Television Stations and Tubi Media Group. We empower a diverse range of creators to imagine and develop culturally significant content, while building an organization that thrives on creative ideas, operational expertise and strategic thinking.JOB DESCRIPTION
Supercast powers premium subscriptions for the world’s top podcasts and creators. We help creators like Huberman Lab, This American Life, Peter Attia, and My Favorite Murder build direct relationships with their audiences and generate recurring revenue through exclusive content and community.
Following our recent acquisition by Red Seat Ventures (a Fox Corp. company), Supercast is entering a new phase of product investment and expansion. Building on our success with podcast subscriptions, we’re evaluating a broader toolkit for podcast-first creators, as well as new ways for creators to engage and monetize their audiences.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for our founding Product Manager to help shape this next chapter, reporting to the CEO. You’ll work closely with engineering, design, and creator-facing teams to build products used by thousands of creators and hundreds of thousands of paying subscribers, helping creators launch faster, convert more fans into members, and grow thriving subscription businesses.
We believe the next generation of media companies will be creator-led, and our mission is to build the operating system for creator-led media businesses.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
A highly collaborative product lifecycle, with emphasis on the beginning and end stages: roadmap, problem discovery, launch, communication, adoption, review and iteration.
Partnering closely with Engineering (serendipitously Toronto-based) and Design to define product priorities, ship new features, and continuously improve the creator and subscriber experience.
Talking regularly with creators and subscribers to understand how they use the platform, where they struggle, and where new product opportunities exist.
Identifying opportunities to improve subscriber conversion, retention, and creator revenue through product improvements and experimentation.
Defining clear product requirements and ensuring the team is aligned on goals, timelines, and success metrics.
Using product analytics, creator feedback, and industry research to guide product decisions and prioritize what to build next.
Helping shape the long-term product strategy as Supercast expands into new capabilities including mobile apps, livestreaming, community, and other tools that help creators build deeper relationships with their audiences.
PROBLEMS YOU'LL WORK ON
How can we help creators launch and grow successful subscription businesses faster? Many creators have strong audiences but limited experience with pricing, membership tiers, and launch strategy.
How can we help a higher % of fans become paying subscribers?
How can we use product insights and data across thousands of creators to help each creator succeed? What patterns separate the most successful creators on the platform from the rest?
What tools help creators deepen relationships with their audience and reduce churn?
How can Supercast expand beyond subscriptions into a broader toolkit for podcast-first creators? E.g. Mobile apps, livestreaming, community features, and newsletters.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Candidates must reside in Ontario, Canada.
Product experience. 3+ years building digital products as a Product Manager, ideally in SaaS, consumer platforms, media, or the creator economy.
Customer obsession. You care deeply about understanding how creators and subscribers behave and champion for product quality like your livelihood depends on it.
Strong product intuition. You’re able to identify the handful of product improvements that can dramatically improve creator success, subscriber conversion, or retention.
Clarity from ambiguity. You can take messy inputs from creators, internal teams, and data and turn them into clear product direction.
Strong collaboration skills. You work effectively with engineers, designers, and go-to-market teams to move ideas from concept to shipped product.
Strategic thinking. You understand how product decisions influence conversion, retention, and long-term platform growth.
Bias for action. You prefer shipping and learning over endless planning and iterate quickly based on real-world feedback.
Passion for the creator economy. You’ve witnessed the rise of creator-led media and are excited about shaping the tools for the most successful creators in the ecosystem.
We’re especially interested in candidates who have built products used by creators, media companies, or subscription businesses.
HOW WE MEASURE SUCCESS
Meaningful improvements in creator launch success, subscriber conversion, and subscriber retention.
Consistent delivery of product improvements that help creators grow revenue and deepen audience relationships.
Strong collaboration with Engineering, Design, and Creator-facing teams to ship high-impact features.
A clear and ambitious product roadmap that balances near-term improvements with longer-term platform expansion.
WHY YOU'LL LOVE WORKING AT SUPERCAST
You’ll be directly shaping how podcast creators build sustainable businesses with their audiences, working directly with some of the most influential voices in podcasting.
Following our acquisition by Red Seat Ventures (a Fox Corp. company), we’re investing heavily in product and expanding the platform to support the next generation of creator tools.
You’ll join a tight-knit, ambitious team building what we believe will become the operating system for podcast-first creator businesses.
Good ideas get shipped quickly. You’ll have real ownership over what gets built.
We’re a remote-first company with most team members across North America (your primary work window should be Pacific - Eastern Time).
Pursuant to local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is as listed annually below.
