Position: Bus Driver (Passenger Endorsement Required)

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Bus Driver to transport passengers in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner. The Bus Driver is responsible for operating a commercial passenger vehicle while ensuring the safety, comfort, and timely transportation of all passengers. This position requires a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger (P) Endorsement and adherence to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a bus to transport passengers along assigned routes or destinations
• Ensure the safety and well-being of passengers at all times
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues
• Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle as needed
• Maintain accurate logs and required documentation
• Follow all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and passengers
• Maintain a clean and presentable vehicle
• Respond appropriately to emergencies or unexpected situations
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Valid CDL with Passenger (P) Endorsement (required)
• Clean driving record
• Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and DOT physical
• Ability to speak, read, and write English
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to follow schedules, routes, and safety procedures
• Dependable, punctual, and professional

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience driving a bus or commercial passenger vehicle
• Knowledge of local routes and traffic patterns
• Defensive driving or safety training experience

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods
• Ability to assist passengers when needed
• Ability to operate vehicle controls safely and effectively
