Through advanced software, deep automation, breakthroughs in materials science, and modern financing strategies, Rangeview rewrites both the cost curve and the power structure of making metal parts.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Accountant to join our growing team. This individual will be responsible for core accounting operations with a strong emphasis on inventory, cost accounting, and manufacturing-related financial reporting. This position owns critical elements of the monthly close and ensures accurate, GAAP-compliant accounting for inventory, fixed assets, and production activities.

The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing or hardware-focused environments and brings strong technical accounting discipline—ideally developed through Big 4 public accounting—while remaining comfortable operating close to the shop floor and partnering cross-functionally as production scales.

This position is an onsite role based in El Segundo / Greater Los Angeles area (California).

Responsibilities:

Monthly Close & General Ledger

  • Own key components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close in accordance with US GAAP

  • Prepare and review journal entries related to inventory, WIP, COGS, accruals, prepaid expenses, and manufacturing overhead

  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure timely, accurate account reconciliations

  • Investigate and resolve variances between operational data and financial records

Inventory & Cost Accounting

  • Maintain accurate accounting for raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods

  • Support standard cost development, BOM costing, labor and overhead absorption, and inventory capitalization

  • Analyze inventory movements, excess & obsolete (E&O) reserves, and manufacturing variances

  • Support physical inventory counts and cycle counts; investigate and resolve discrepancies

  • Ensure inventory valuation and capitalization policies comply with US GAAP

Manufacturing & Operational Accounting

  • Partner with Production, Supply Chain, and Engineering to ensure proper accounting treatment for production activities

  • Support accounting for production labor, manufacturing overhead, shop supplies, and consumables

  • Track and account for tooling, spare parts, and production equipment in accordance with capitalization policies

  • Support project-based, build-based, or milestone-driven manufacturing accounting where applicable

Fixed Assets, CapEx & Leases

  • Maintain fixed asset and CapEx accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals

  • Support accounting for manufacturing equipment, tooling, leasehold improvements, and facilities

  • Assist with lease accounting and asset tracking related to production facilities and equipment

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and supporting schedules

  • Support inventory, COGS, and gross margin analysis

  • Provide ad-hoc operational and financial analyses to support production planning and decision-making

Audit, Compliance & Controls

  • Prepare audit schedules related to inventory, fixed assets, and cost accounting

  • Support external audits, reviews, and tax filings

  • Assist in documenting and maintaining accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls, particularly in manufacturing and inventory areas

Process Improvement & Systems

  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, close efficiency, and cost visibility

  • Support implementation and optimization of ERP, inventory, and manufacturing systems (e.g., ERP/ MES)

  • Contribute to scalable accounting processes as production volumes increase

Required Skills / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience

  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, inventory accounting, and cost accounting

  • Hands-on experience with month-end close and general ledger ownership

  • Strong Excel skills and experience with modern accounting systems

Preferred Skills / Experience:

  • Big 4 public accounting experience

  • CPA or CPA-eligible

  • Manufacturing, hardware, aerospace, industrial, or inventory-intensive experience

  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar)

  • Experience supporting physical inventory counts and external audits
