Database Manager/Administrator
• Implement and verify security controls to ensure data protection at rest and in transit.
• Plan, install, and maintain database servers and applications, including after-hours work as required.
• Tune database performance; troubleshoot complex database issues.
• Manage backup, recovery, and high-availability configurations.
• Collaborate with application developers, analysts, and other stakeholders. Required Qualifications • AA/AS in a related discipline from an accredited college or university, OR 3+ years of related experience in lieu of degree.
• Active IAT Level II certification (one of: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) plus applicable CE/OS certification.
• 3+ years of database administration experience.
• 2+ years of experience testing applications and documenting issues found in testing.
• Hands-on expertise with Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Strong SQL programming and data modeling skills.
• U.S. Citizenship; ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC). Desired Qualifications • Vendor DBA certifications (Microsoft, Oracle, AWS, etc.).
• Experience administering databases in hybrid cloud or AWS/Azure environments.
• Prior DoD or Army experience.
