Your Career
Palo Alto Networks® SaaS Security team is looking for a seasoned and accomplished Fullstack Software Engineer to help scale out our security platform with a sharp focus on platform and infrastructure capabilities. As a member of the team, you have the unique opportunity to:
- Be part of a world-class software engineering team that works on various ground-breaking cloud security service offerings
- Lead initiatives in the platform team to deliver security as a service in the public cloud by providing highly scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant solutions
- Deliver innovative solutions that enhances the security of AI agents and agentic workflows
This role is located at our dynamic Santa Clara California headquarters campus.
Your Impact
- Lead the technology strategy for building out a world class SaaS security platform, influencing critical decisions on technology, architecture,integration, and reusability
- Design, develop and implement highly scalable software features on our next-generation security platform
- Work with different development and quality assurance groups to achieve best in quality software
- Suggest and implement improvements to the development process
- Work with DevOps and the Technical Support teams to troubleshoot customer issues
- Participate in architecture; define new web based features for UI & Management software
Qualifications
Your Experience
- 4+ years of industry experience building scalable web applications
- Proficiency in Front-End technologies: React (hooks, Redux, component architecture)
- Strong Back-End development experience in one or more of the following: Java, Python
- Solid understanding of modern software architecture, microservices, RESTful APIs, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Familiar with AI-based technologies (e.g., LLM integration, ML model APIs, vector databases) and AI-based productivity tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, Tabnine)
- Proven experience leading complex projects and mentoring engineers
Education
M.S./B.S. degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field or equivalent military experience required

Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $147,500 - $200,000/YR. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here .
