Procurement Manager, Commodities

A day in the life:
As the Procurement Manager - Commodities, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day sourcing and procurement of all commodity ingredients and supporting leadership on all global initiatives. Implement and maintain the global procurement and supply plan to fit with the company's strategies and growth in all regions. Work with all regional procurement managers to ensure the company is receiving the best value and pricing while ensuring supply continuity.
The impact you'll make:
- Understand and monitor all current supply agreements and their respective timing for renewal. Lead negotiations and execution of new, renewed agreements regarding supply terms, costing and commercial terms of all key commodity ingredient suppliers.
- Assess and approve commodity market details. Devise ways and means to maximize commodity buying efficiency and minimize risks. Develop and manage pricing strategies. Draft proposals to manage contracts and negotiations.
- Responsible for helping to ensure a robust, reliable and sustainable supply chain for all commodity ingredients globally, so that the supply chain is never broken, customers are served right, and revenue is never missed.
- Helping to implement the global sourcing and supply strategy with critical segmentation of suppliers (strategic, tactical, opportunistic). Helping to implement strong contingencies around critical sourcing areas. The major focus will be in North America with limited support to other regions.
- Help to implement the Core Procurement Processes to comply with the company's financial requirements and expectations "Protect the Brand."
- Strong focus on managing inflationary pressures and cost savings through detailed planning and execution of productivity ideas and projects. Help to conduct external and internal assessments of the competitive landscape, suppliers and market trends, work with internal teams to identify opportunities to drive program growth.
- Work with suppliers, cross-functional partners and key stakeholders to ensure communication of project updates and changes to the supply chain. Respond timely to supplier and costing requirements from stakeholders globally.
- Ensure all suppliers are aligned with Monster's Quality Assurance /Quality Control processes and procedures. Supports regional and global supply and quality issues; actively participates in the resolution of crisis level issues.
- Assist accounting in resolving price discrepancies.
Who you are:
- Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in the field of -- Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, Analytics or related field.
- Additional Experience Desired: More than 5 years of experience in Procurement
- Additional Experience Desired: Between 1-3 years of experience in Food & Beverage Industry
- Computer Skills Desired: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
Monster Energy provides a competitive total compensation. This position has an estimated annual salary of $75,000 to $100,000. The actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.
