Description:

The NASA Postdoctoral Program (NPP) offers research opportunities for scientists to engage in NASA projects at NASA Centers, Headquarters, or affiliated institutes. Fellowships last from one to three years and aim to advance NASA's missions in space science, Earth science, aeronautics, space operations, exploration systems, and astrobiology.

Research Focus: Investigate planetary evolution and habitability of Earth-like planets and exoplanets by examining interior, surface, and atmospheric evolution. Topics include modeling heat flow factors, interior thermal evolution, mantle plumes, tectonic processes like rifting, and surface processes related to resurfacing and climate change, using analytic and numerical methods constrained by gravity, topography, radar, imaging, and temperature data.
