AP Accountant
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated AP Accountant to help scale our Accounts Payable function. The ideal candidate will bring strong operational expertise in payables, a process improvement mindset, and a collaborative approach. This role will work closely with the Finance/GL team and cross-functionally with other departments to ensure our AP processes are efficient, accurate, and scalable.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Vendor Setup & Onboarding
- Own new vendor setups, including obtaining W-9 forms and entering vendor information in our accounting systems.
- Ensure all new vendors are properly set up in AP systems including Netsuite and Coupa.
- Invoice & Expense Management
- Audit employee expense reports and credit card transactions to confirm compliance with company policy.
- Drive all vendors toward electronic invoice submission instead of physical copies.
- Review, code, and process invoices in Coupa.
- Create an escalation process with managers for pending invoice approvals.
- Monitor communications from employees and vendors to ensure invoices are processed and paid on time.
- Reconcile Coupa to NetSuite and follow up on variances as needed.
- Following up on unmatched invoices.
- Manage and reconcile vendor statements to Netsuite and Coupa.
- Monitor the AP Alias email for any urgent items.
- Accounting & Close Support
- Accurately code invoices to appropriate expense and balance sheet GL accounts.
- Review account reconciliations for AP-related close items.
- Process Improvement & Special Projects
- Document and enhance AP processes and procedures.
- Perform ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned.
What Makes you a good fit
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 2+ years of relevant AP experience.
- Experience in scaling processes at high-growth companies, preferably startups.
- Familiarity with tools such as Navan, Oracle/NetSuite, Coupa, and Ramp (or comparable systems).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable working with all levels of management, employees, and vendors.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Compensation: At Skydio, our compensation packages for regular, full-time employees include competitive base salaries, equity in the form of stock options, and comprehensive benefits packages. Compensation will vary based on factors, including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. Relocation assistance may also be provided for eligible roles. The annual base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $115,000*.
