Functional Operations Manager - Workflow Governance
This role is responsible for leading content conform and asset rejection operations at a major production site, with accountability for daily performance, workflow governance, and team leadership. The position owns operational outcomes for a multi-function content workflow, ensures consistent delivery and quality standards, and acts as a key cross-functional representative for conform operations. The role also partners with a secondary global site to support planning, readiness, and workload alignment.
The Basics
Duration: 6 months
Hours: Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week
Location: Burbank, CA
Top Three Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in operations, content workflows, or workflow governance, including at least 3 years managing people-leader teams
- Deep expertise in content conform processes, asset rejection management, and vendor-facing workflows
- Proven ability to lead complex, multi-functional operations with cross-regional dependencies
Other Qualifications
- Experience supporting global or offshore operations, strong operational analytics skills, ability to influence cross-functional partners without direct authority, and demonstrated success driving continuous improvement in high-volume environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage conform and rejections teams, overseeing daily operations, performance standards, and team engagement
- Own site-level operational results including throughput, accuracy, rejection rates, and staffing recommendations
- Translate organizational objectives into actionable work plans, schedules, and workflow priorities
- Apply subject-matter expertise to improve conform execution, rejection handling, vendor interactions, and workflow design
- Support global partner sites by contributing to work assignment definitions, volume planning, and workflow readiness
- Represent the conform function in cross-functional forums to align priorities and improve end-to-end workflow effectiveness
- Make informed operational decisions while contributing to broader team and functional strategy
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
