Job Title: Senior Product Specialist

Purpose and Objective:

SAP America, Inc. seeks a Senior Product Specialist at our San Francisco, CA location responsible for the success, quality, costs, and delivery of a business software solution product as defined in the portfolio.

Expectations and Tasks:

Translate product strategy effectively into roadmap and backlog in partnership with development manager. Partner with User Experience (UX) to ensure an intuitive, delightful, user experience where users can truly experience the product’s value. Work in partnership with the Engineering team to define the scope of each feature, establish acceptance criteria for each user story, accurately sizing and refining stories to ensure alignment with the outcome-based product vision and roadmap. Ensure the product can be easily configured, deployed, used, and supported. Ensure the product is reliable, cost-efficient, and compliant to deliver on SAP platform strategy. Monitor product adoption, usage telemetry, and customer feedback channels for their product to identify product performance opportunities, manage uncertainties, and adapt plans to ensure product satisfaction KPIs are being met. Stay aware of competitor landscape, technological innovations, and customer sentiment. Evaluate and take relevant action on feedback from stakeholders and team members. Ensure technical training, onboarding, and adoption processes are delivered according to customer requirements. Engage with early adopter customers to establish minimum viable product (MVP) criteria and ensure UX and production-ready performance before release.

Education and Occupational Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field of study and six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:

Experience must involve two (2) years in the following:

• SAP Sales Cloud;

• Designing applications for business; and

• Create product roll out content for enablement including PowerPoint presentations, and videos.

Experience must involve one (1) year in the following:

• SAP S/4HANA Cloud and BTP tools;

• SAP Analytics Cloud;

• Build product vision and integration concepts using MURAL; and

• Perform acceptance QA testing and exploratory testing.

Compensation Range Transparency The annual base salary range for this position is $174,637 - $234,344. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $174,637 - $266,300 . The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
