Sr. Audiologist

Otolaryngology
Responsibilities:Under the general direction of the Otology director and Chief Administrative Officer, the full-time Audiologist will be responsible for administering diagnostic audiological tests; hearing aid dispensing (i.e., testing, fitting, and selection), and hearing (re)habilitation services for patients of all ages. The incumbent is independently responsible for basic diagnostic and rehabilitative services. The incumbent will perform ABR, OAE, ENG and ECHOG testing as well as fit and dispense hearing aids.
Qualifications:Required:
- Strong interpersonal skills, analytical skills, service orientation, active listening, critical thinking, attention to detail, ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment, organizational skills, effective verbal and written communication skills, sound judgment and decision making; ability to develop original ideas to solve problems
- Ability to function effectively as a member of a team.
- Computer skills: Windows, Excel, and Word.
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Masters degree in Audiology, Will accept CFY audiologist.
- Applicants must possess an AuD and be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Dispensing Audiologist within California
- CA Aud License
- 1-year post-externship clinical experience with both adult and pediatric populations
Preferred:
- Knowledge of all aspects of Audiology services for patients of all ages.
- Diagnostic Audiometry, ENGs, and ABRs with selection of appropriate assessment tools, interpretation of results, and referral / active follow-up Amplification services including hearing assessment, amplification selection, fitting, real ear measurements, recommendations for assistive listening devices, patient counseling, and management of amplification equipment.
- Parent and community outreach and education Be able to operate the Audiologic equipment.
- Familiarity with analog and digital hearing instruments. Hearing aid background.
- Pleasant and diligent attitude.
- Able to work with patients and communicate with physicians and staff in a fast-paced clinic.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Organizational skills to establish workload priorities to facilitate multiple functions and deadlines in a timely manner.
- Implantable hearing aids and cochlear implants
